ScriptWrights’ professional screenwriters and actors propel each other to become more powerful storytellers.
In weekly readings, our writers use ongoing critique from their peers to develop better scripts and expand their skills. Our working pro actors read these scripts completely cold – as a reader would experience them, only out loud. Notable members: Warren Leonard ("How to Get Away with Murder", "Goliath", "Runaways"), Allison Kiessling "The Mighty Camilla” which was set up at ABC and then TV Land) and Joy Nash (lead actor of "Dietland") I am the only non writer or actor in the group and have been able to use my involvement to refine my note giving and communication skills. In 2015 I set up and oversaw several Scriptwrights Showcases where we invited agents, manager, producers and executives to a hosted cocktails and staged reading of select pages from members scripts. |

PGA Targeted Employment Introductions Proposal In response to several Production Companies & Studios requesting a way to meet targeted PGA members in specific producing categories, I co-head a team, under the Employment Committee, to create a proposal on how we could work with the Production Company & Studios to curate Targeted Employment Introductions. This series of events would be as a way to connect PGA members with potential future employment opportunities. |

PGA Morning Council Mixer In 2017 I took over the Morning Council Mixers which are held quarterly on Saturday mornings. I streamlined the event hosting process and implemented the choosing of diverse topics to foster a conversation between members. Some recent topics have included: prepping for AFM, producing in VR/AR, shooting non-scripted abroad, producing game & live shows, producing horror. |
